Broadcast Stats
Statistics → Broadcast Stats shows the results of every campaign you've scheduled under Actions → Schedule: who it went to, who opened and clicked, who unsubscribed, what bounced and who complained. The list gives you one row per campaign, and each campaign has a full statistics page behind it.
Split-test campaigns appear here too. Evergreen runs, triggers and automations have their own pages: see Evergreen Stats, Trigger Stats and Automations Stats. Transactional email isn't included; it's reported under Analytics.
The Broadcast Stats list
The page is titled Campaigns Statistics and lists your campaigns, newest first.
Live Mode
The Live switch in the top-right corner refreshes the table every 8 seconds, so you can watch a campaign's figures grow while it's sending. A pulsing green dot next to Live shows that it's on. Your browser remembers the setting, separately for this list and for the campaign statistics pages.
Live Mode reads running totals that Mumara ONE keeps up to date as events come in, so leaving it on doesn't slow anything down.
Campaign status
A small coloured dot before each campaign name shows its current state. Hover over the dot to see the state in words.
| Dot | State | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Black | Complete | Every email has been sent. |
| Green, blinking | Running, Processing, Resumed | The campaign is sending right now. |
| Blue | Scheduled, Scheduling, Prepared, Waiting | The campaign is queued and hasn't started sending yet. |
| Orange | Paused, Pausing | You paused the campaign, or it's pausing. |
| Red | System paused, Stopped by policy | Mumara ONE stopped the campaign, for example to protect your sending reputation. Check your email and the campaign's page under Campaigns → Scheduled Campaigns for the reason. |
With Live Mode on, the dots change as the campaigns' states change.
Columns
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| ID | The campaign's number. Quote it if you contact support about a campaign. |
| Campaign Name | The name you gave the campaign when you scheduled it, after its status dot. |
| Broadcasts | The broadcast, or broadcasts, the campaign sent. |
| Audience | The contact lists or segments the campaign went to. |
| Start Time | When the campaign started sending, in your account's time zone. |
| Contacts | Everyone in the audience, before anyone was skipped. |
| Sent | Emails that were sent. |
| Skipped | Contacts left out, for example because they had unsubscribed, bounced or were suppressed. The campaign's Summary tab shows the reasons. |
| Opened | Unique opens / total opens. |
| Clicked | Unique clicks / total clicks. |
| Unsubscribed | Contacts who unsubscribed through this campaign. |
| Details | Click the chart icon to open the campaign's statistics. |
| Download | Click the cloud icon to export all of the campaign's statistics as one ZIP file. See Exporting statistics. |
Hover over a figure to see what it counts, for example Unique Opens or Total Opens.
Use Search to find a campaign by its name, broadcast, audience or start time, and Show entries to change how many campaigns appear on each page. Click a column heading to sort by it.
If your account keeps campaign statistics for a limited time, a note above the table says how long. Older statistics are then removed automatically, so export anything you need to keep. Analytics has its own retention period, which depends on your plan.
The campaign statistics page
Click the chart icon in a campaign's Details column to open its statistics. The page is titled Campaign Statistics and the report is headed Campaign Results.
Along the top of the report are:
- Live: the same switch as on the list. When it's on, the four cards at the top of the Summary and the table on the tab you're viewing refresh every 8 seconds.
- Export Options: downloads the campaign's statistics. See Exporting statistics.
While a campaign is sending, its status on the Summary tab updates by itself, and the page reloads once the campaign completes so you see the final figures.
The report has eight tabs:
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Summary | Headline figures, how the campaign was set up, and charts |
| Opened | Every open, with location and device |
| Clicked | Every click, with the link, location and device |
| Unsubscribed | Everyone who unsubscribed through this campaign |
| Bounced | Every bounce, with the receiving server's reply |
| Complaints | Every spam complaint |
| Logs | Every message's delivery status |
| A/B | Results compared by list, broadcast, pool, link or browser |
If one of the lists the campaign went to has been blocked, only the Summary tab can be opened, and Export Options isn't shown. Blocked lists are marked Blocked on your Lists page. Contact Mumara support if a list you use has been blocked.
Summary tab
Headline cards
Four cards across the top show Opened, Clicked, Unsubscribed and Bounced, each with its percentage of sent, for example 12.4% of sent. Opened and Clicked count unique contacts.
Campaign Info
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Campaign name | The name you gave the campaign. |
| Contact Lists | The lists the campaign went to. Click a list to see its contacts. If the campaign went to segments, the field is Segments instead. |
| Broadcasts | The broadcast the campaign sent. Click its name to preview the email. For a split test, Broadcasts lists every variation and Winning broadcast shows the one that won. |
| Sending Nodes | The pool, or pools, the campaign was sent through. This is the same list you ticked in the Sending Nodes step when you scheduled it; in Mumara ONE those entries are your pools. See Dedicated Pools. |
Delivery
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Audience size | Everyone the campaign was aimed at, including contacts that were skipped. |
| Sent | Emails that were sent. |
| Skipped | Contacts left out, with their share of the audience. Click the eye icon for the reasons. See Skipped details. |
| Deleted Contacts | Contacts who were in the audience but were deleted before their email was sent. |
Engagement
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Opened | Unique opens / total opens, and the open rate: unique opens as a percentage of sent. |
| Clicked | Unique clicks / total clicks, and the click rate: unique clicks as a percentage of sent. |
| CTR | Click-through rate: unique clicks as a percentage of unique opens. It tells you how convincing the email was to the people who opened it. |
| Bounced | Bounces, and their percentage of sent. |
| Unsubscribed | Unsubscribes, and their percentage of sent. |
Timing
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Start time | When the campaign started sending. |
| Finish time | When the last email was sent. Shows --- until the campaign has finished. |
| Campaign duration | How long the campaign took from start to finish. |
| Status | The campaign's current state, such as Running, Paused or Completed. |
Configuration
Click Configuration to expand a record of how the campaign was set up when you scheduled it. It helps explain the results: for example, if Track Opens is No, the campaign has no open figures.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Threads | How many parallel sending processes the campaign used. |
| Track Opens | Whether open tracking was on. |
| Track Clicks | Whether click tracking was on. |
| Insert Unsubscribe Link | Whether an unsubscribe link was added to the email. |
| Hourly speed | The sending speed you set, or Unlimited. |
| Sending mode | How the campaign moved through its pools: Batches or Loop. |
| Sender details | Where the From name and address came from: From List (the contact list's sender details), Custom (entered for this campaign) or From Sending Node (the pool's defaults). |
| Scheduled by | Who scheduled the campaign, and when. |
| Custom criteria | Shown only if you narrowed the audience with custom criteria. Click View custom criteria to see them. |
Charts
The right-hand side of the Summary shows three charts:
- Top Domains: the ten recipient domains with the most contacts in the campaign's audience, such as
gmail.comoroutlook.com, counted when the campaign was prepared. It shows who your audience is, not how each domain responded. For delivery results by domain, use Analytics. - Opened vs Unopened: the share of sent emails that were opened, and the share that weren't.
- Countries by Email Opened: a world map shaded by the number of opens from each country.
Skipped details
Click the eye icon next to Skipped to open Skipped Details, which breaks the skipped contacts down by reason:
| Reason | Contacts who were skipped because they |
|---|---|
| Suppressed | matched one of your email, domain or IP suppression entries |
| Unsubscribed | had unsubscribed |
| Not Confirmed | hadn't confirmed their subscription, on a list that requires confirmation |
| Inactive | were marked as inactive |
| Bounced | had a hard bounce on record |
| Duplicates | appeared on more than one of the campaign's lists, so they got the email only once. Shown only when there are any. |
| Spammed | had reported one of your emails as spam |
| Deleted Subscribers | were deleted before their email was sent. Shown only when there are any. |
Click the download icon next to a reason to save those contacts as a CSV file. The file lists the contacts on the campaign's lists who are in that state now, so it can differ slightly from the moment the campaign was sent.
Opened tab
The Opened tab lists every open.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| All / Unique | All lists every open, including repeats. Unique lists each contact's opens once. |
| Exclude bots | Hides opens made by security scanners and other automated systems. |
| Display Emails | Shows the email address and list for every row. While it's off, each row shows Click to display: click it to reveal that one address. |
| Search | Finds rows by any visible value. |
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| ID | The contact's ID. Click it to open the contact. |
| Email Address | The contact's email address. |
| List/Segment | The list the contact is on. |
| IP Address | The IP address the email was opened from. |
| Bot | Bot if the open was identified as automated. |
| City, Region, Zip, Country | Where the open came from, looked up from the IP address. Zip isn't available everywhere. |
| Browser | The browser or email app used. |
| OS | The operating system, which tells you whether it was a phone or a computer. |
| Date/Time | When the email was opened. |
Company mail filters often open every message, and click every link in it, to scan for threats, often within seconds of delivery. Those events inflate your opens and clicks. Switch on Exclude bots when you want to know how many people really engaged.
Clicked tab
The Clicked tab lists every click. It has the same All / Unique, Exclude bots and Display Emails controls as the Opened tab, and the same columns, plus:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Link Clicked | The address of the link that was clicked. |
A contact appears once for each click, so someone who clicked three links has three rows. A note at the top may say The statistics data is updated every minute. with the time of the last update, because new clicks are added in batches.
Unsubscribed tab
The Unsubscribed tab lists every contact who unsubscribed through this campaign. It has an Exclude bots switch, which hides unsubscribes made by automated systems, such as a mail filter following the unsubscribe link.
The columns are ID, Email Address, List/Segment, IP Address, City, Region, Zip, Country, Browser, OS and Date/Time.
Unsubscribed contacts stay on your list but are skipped by every future campaign to that list. Unsubscribes that come from a mailbox provider's own Unsubscribe button, using one-click unsubscribe, are recorded here too.
Bounced tab
The Bounced tab lists every email the receiving server rejected. Mumara ONE processes bounces for you; this tab shows what happened.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| ID | The contact's ID. Click it to see the contact's details. Shows Deleted Contact if the contact no longer exists. |
| Email Address | The address that bounced. |
| Type | hard or soft. See below. |
| Code (rule id) | The bounce code, such as 5.1.1. |
| Reason | A short description of the bounce. |
| Details | The receiving server's full reply. |
| Date/Time | When the bounce was recorded. |
| Type | Meaning | What happens next |
|---|---|---|
| Hard | A permanent failure: the address or domain doesn't exist, or the mailbox is disabled. | The contact is marked as bounced and skipped by future campaigns. |
| Soft | A temporary failure: the mailbox is full, or the server is busy or unavailable. | The contact stays active. Repeated soft bounces are worth looking into. |
Some common codes:
| Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
5.1.1 | The mailbox doesn't exist. Usually a typo or a closed account. |
5.1.10 | The recipient's domain doesn't accept email at all. |
5.2.1 | The mailbox is disabled or not accepting mail. |
5.7.1 | The message was refused by policy, for example because of its content or the sender's reputation. |
A sudden rise in 5.7.x bounces at one mailbox provider usually points to a reputation or content problem rather than bad addresses. For bounces across all your sending, see Analytics → Bounce.
Complaints tab
The Complaints tab lists the recipients who marked this campaign as spam, as reported back by their mailbox provider.
| Control or column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| All / Unique | All lists every complaint. Unique lists each contact once. |
| ID | The contact's ID. |
| Email Address | The address that complained. |
| Details | Whatever extra information the mailbox provider sent with the complaint. |
| Date/Time | When the complaint was received. It can arrive some time after the recipient clicked the spam button. |
Contacts who complain are skipped by your future campaigns automatically.
Spam complaints are one of the strongest negative signals a mailbox provider sees. Keep them under 0.1% of sent. If a campaign draws more, check how the contacts joined your list, how often you email them and whether the content matches what they signed up for.
Logs tab
The Logs tab is the delivery record for every email in the campaign.
Buttons above the table filter it by status. All is always there; the others appear only when at least one email has that status:
| Filter | Emails that |
|---|---|
| All | are part of the campaign |
| Delivered | the receiving server accepted. Accepted doesn't guarantee the inbox: the provider can still file the email as spam. |
| Opened | were opened at least once |
| Clicked | had at least one link clicked |
| Unsubscribed | led the recipient to unsubscribe |
| Bounced | bounced |
| Abuse | the recipient reported as spam |
| Delayed | the receiving server deferred for now. They're retried automatically. |
| Injected | have been handed over for sending but don't have a final result yet |
| Blocked | weren't sent, because by the time the email was due the contact had unsubscribed, been suppressed or complained, or its list was blocked |
| Rejected | were refused outright while being sent |
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| ID | The contact's ID. |
| Email Address | The recipient. |
| Activity | The contact's latest engagement: opened, clicked, or --- if none. |
| Status | The email's delivery status. |
| Sending Node | The pool the email was sent through. |
| Message ID | The email's unique message ID. Quote it when you contact support about a specific email. |
| Response | The receiving server's reply, or the reason the email wasn't sent. |
| Created On | When the email was queued. |
| Last Activity | When anything last happened to the email. |
A/B tab
The A/B tab compares the campaign's results from different angles. Choose one of the options at the top:
| Option | Columns | Use it to |
|---|---|---|
| Contact Lists | ID, List/Segment, Sent, Opened, Clicked | See which of the campaign's lists engaged most. |
| Campaigns | No., Campaign, Sent, Opened, Clicked | Compare the broadcasts in a split test. |
| SMTP | No., SMTP, Sent, Opened, Clicked | Compare the pools the campaign was sent through. Each row is one pool. A pool with a much lower open rate than the others may have a reputation problem. |
| Top clicks | No., Link, Clicked | See which links were clicked most, with each link's share of all clicks. |
| Clicks by browser | Client, Number of opens | See which browsers and email apps your clickers use. Despite the column name, the figures are clicks. |
Opened and Clicked show the count and its percentage of the emails sent to that list, broadcast or pool.
Exporting statistics
Export Options
Export Options, at the top of the campaign's statistics page, offers:
| Export | Format | Contents |
|---|---|---|
| Overview (pdf) | A printable summary of the campaign. Downloads straight away. | |
| Opened (csv) | CSV | The Opened tab's data. |
| Clicked (csv) | CSV | The Clicked tab's data. |
| Unsubscribed (csv) | CSV | The Unsubscribed tab's data. |
| Bounced (csv) | CSV | The Bounced tab's data. |
| Complained (csv) | CSV | The Complaints tab's data. |
| Logs (csv) | CSV | The Logs tab's data. |
| Export All | ZIP | All of the above in one file. |
The Download icon on the Broadcast Stats list does the same as Export All.
The export options window
Every export except the PDF opens the Export Campaign Statistics window:
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Include profile fields data | Adds your contacts' custom fields to the file. |
| Export in background | Ticked by default. The file is prepared on our side while you keep working; you'll see "The data is being exported in the background." Collect it under Tools → Exported Files when it's ready. Untick it to download the file straight away, which can take a while for a large campaign. |
| Bots column included in opened? / clicked? / opened/clicked? | Shown for Opened, Clicked and Export All. Switch it on to add a column that marks automated opens and clicks. |
Click Start Export.
Statistics exports contain your contacts' email addresses, IP addresses and locations. Store them securely and delete copies you no longer need.
Reading your results
- Compare campaigns with each other, not with industry averages. Open rates vary a lot between audiences, and your own history is the better baseline.
- CTR shows how good the content was. It measures clicks among the people who opened, so it isn't affected by how many emails reached the inbox.
- Contacts who open but never click may need clearer calls to action, or content closer to what they signed up for.
- A high unsubscribe rate on one campaign points to that campaign's content or timing. Compare it with the campaigns before it.
- Hard bounces mean bad addresses. If there are many, look at where those contacts came from.
- Use the A/B tab to find your most engaged lists and your best-performing links.
