Sign Up and Onboarding
This page walks you through creating a Mumara ONE account, what happens while it's set up, how signing in works, and what to do first.
Mumara ONE uses two sites:
- account.mumara.com is where you sign up, sign in and manage your plan and billing.
- one.mumara.com is the app where you do your work.
You never install anything. Once your account is ready, everything happens in your browser.
Create your account
-
Go to account.mumara.com/signup, or click Create an Account on the sign-in page.
-
Enter your First Name, Last Name, Email and Password, then confirm the password. Use 8 or more characters with a mix of letters and numbers.
-
Accept the terms and conditions and submit the form.
-
Check your inbox. Mumara ONE sends a verification code to the address you entered. Type it into Verification Code and click Verify Code.
If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder. You can click Resend Code after 60 seconds.
Choose a plan and pay
After your email is verified, you're taken to the order page.
- Choose Monthly or Annually billing. Paying annually costs less.
- Under Select a Plan, pick the plan and size that fit you. The page shows what each option includes, such as contacts, daily and monthly sending, triggers, transactional emails and Dedicated IPs.
- Fill in your account details, such as your address and phone number.
- Choose a payment method: Credit Card or PayPal. If you have a coupon, enter it in Coupon Code.
- Check the Order Summary and place the order.
See Mumara ONE pricing for what each plan includes. You can change plans later; see Subscription and Plans.
While your account is being set up
When your payment goes through, the order page shows Payment Successful with the message We are now setting up your account. This step is called provisioning. Behind the scenes, Mumara ONE:
- creates your account in the app with your plan's limits and credits
- connects it to Mumara's shared sending infrastructure
- prepares the starter items described in What's ready in your new account
Keep the page open. Provisioning usually takes a few moments. When it finishes, you're redirected to the Mumara ONE dashboard. If the redirect doesn't happen, click the click here link on the page.
If your order needs attention
- Payment failed. The page shows Payment Failed. Click Change Card to try another card, or View Invoice to pay the invoice another way.
- Order held for review. Some orders are checked by our fraud-screening service before they're activated. You'll get an email from the validation team asking for more details. Reply to it and your plan is activated once you're verified. You can also Contact Support, or cancel the order and place a new one if you entered something wrong.
- Unpaid order. If you already have an order waiting for payment, the order page asks you to pay that invoice first, or to cancel it and order again.
What's ready in your new account
Your account comes ready to send, with no servers to set up:
| Item | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Your plan's limits and credits | Contacts, sending limits and credits from the plan you ordered. See Plan & Usage. |
| Shared sending infrastructure | Your mail can go out through Mumara's shared pools right away. Dedicated IPs are optional. |
| A sandbox sending domain | A pre-verified domain for testing, marked (sandbox) under Setup → Sending Domains. You can't edit it, and it's not meant for sending to your audience. |
| A Test List | A small contact list that holds your own email address, so you can send yourself a test. |
| My First Broadcast | A draft broadcast you can open, edit and send to your Test List. |
Mumara ONE also handles bounce processing, complaint feedback loops and the sending servers for every account. There's nothing to configure for those.
New accounts start on shared infrastructure. If your plan includes Dedicated IPs, you order them from inside the app when you're ready. See Dedicated IPs.
Signing in
You always sign in at account.mumara.com:
- Go to account.mumara.com.
- Enter your Email and Password and click Sign In.
- You're taken into the app at one.mumara.com automatically, without a second sign-in.
A few things to know:
- Signing in from one.mumara.com. If you open the sign-in page of one.mumara.com, you're sent to account.mumara.com to sign in there.
- Already signed in. If account.mumara.com remembers you, it shows Choose an account. Click your account to go straight to the app, or click Use another account.
- Forgot your password? Click Forgot Password ? on the sign-in page.
- Two-factor authentication. If you've turned it on under Security in the user menu, the app asks for your code when you arrive.
- Signing out. Open the user menu in the top-right corner of the app and click Logout.
Your profile and password
Your name, email address, postal address and password belong to your billing profile, not to the app. In the app, My Profile and the password section of Security show the note These settings are managed under your billing profile, with a link that opens it. See User Interface.
Your first steps
1. Add your sending domain
Your email needs to come from a domain you own. Go to Setup → Sending Domains, add your domain, publish the DNS records shown and verify it. See Sending Domains.
A subdomain such as mail.example.com keeps your marketing reputation separate from the mail your team sends from example.com.
2. Choose what to send first
Marketing email:
- Create a list under Lists → Add Contact List.
- Add contacts under Contacts → Add a Contact, or import a CSV file under Contacts → Import Contacts.
- Create a broadcast under Campaigns → Broadcasts and send it.
See Your First Marketing Campaign.
Transactional email:
- Create a Bridge under Transactional → Bridges.
- Use its SMTP credentials or the sending API in your application.
- Send a test message and check it under Analytics → Delivery Logs.
See Your First Transactional Email and Bridges.
3. Check your plan
The Dashboard shows your usage at a glance, and Plan & Usage lists every limit and when it resets.
4. Add dedicated infrastructure (optional)
If your plan includes it, order Dedicated IPs under Setup → Dedicated IPs and group them under Setup → Dedicated Pools. See Dedicated IPs and Dedicated Pools.
