Subscription and Plans
Your subscription is the Mumara ONE plan you pay for. It sets your sending allowance, how many contacts and triggers you can have, your transactional allowance and whether you can use dedicated IPs.
To open it, click your avatar in the top-right corner and choose Subscription. You can see how much of your plan you've used on the Plan & Usage page.
Plans at a glance
Mumara ONE has three plan types: Essential, Professional and Business. Each one comes in several sizes, based on how many contacts you have.
| Essential | Professional | Business | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Allow Overuse | No | Yes | Yes |
| When you reach your sending allowance | Sending pauses until you add credits, upgrade or the allowance refills | Sending continues, and the overage is invoiced on your billing date | Sending continues, and the overage is invoiced on your billing date |
Professional and Business have higher limits and more features than Essential. The Features Comparison table on the Subscription page lists the differences.
Plans also come in two tracks, Newsletter and Transactional, and you can switch between them. The Subscription page only lists the plans in the track you're on, so contact Mumara support to move to the other track.
For prices, sizes and exact limits, see Mumara ONE pricing.
What the Subscription page shows
The My Subscription panel holds everything:
- Messages at the top, when something is pending: a scheduled downgrade, an order waiting for payment, or a problem reaching the billing system.
- The plan picker. Choose a size by number of contacts, then a plan under Plan Type. Your current plan has a Current Plan ribbon. As you move between sizes, the summary boxes update to show that plan's Contacts, Daily Sending Limit, Monthly Quota, Triggers, Transactional Emails and Allowed Dedicated IPs.
- Features Comparison. A table comparing Essential, Professional and Business. Click Load more to expand it and Collapse to shrink it again.
- Order Summary, on the right. It shows the plan you've selected and its price, next to the Change Plan button.
Prices on the page are for your current billing cycle, monthly or annual.
Change your plan
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner and choose Subscription.
- Choose a size, then a plan under Plan Type.
- Check the Order Summary and click Change Plan.
- On the Change Plan page, the Order Summary shows your current plan crossed out next to the new one, with the new price. Plan Details and View Plan Features show what the new plan includes.
- If you're upgrading, choose the card to pay with under Select your Cards. The first card is your default. To make another card the default, click Make Default.
- Click Change Plan.
The Change Plan button stays disabled until your billing account has a saved card. Click Add New Card to add one in your billing account, which opens in a new tab, then come back and reload the page. Payment preferences opens the same billing account, where you manage the cards you've saved.
To go back without changing anything, click Go Back to subscription.
Upgrading
An upgrade is charged straight away to the card you chose:
- A Processing Payment window appears. Keep the page open until it finishes.
- When the payment goes through, a message confirms how much you paid and that your plan has been upgraded. You're then taken to your Dashboard.
The higher limits apply once the payment goes through. Plan changes are prorated, and the invoice for the upgrade lists exactly what you paid. You'll find it with your other invoices under Billing.
If the payment is declined, the window shows Payment Failed with three options:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Cancel Upgrade | Cancels the unpaid upgrade invoice and takes you back to the Dashboard |
| Change Card | Cancels the unpaid invoice so you can start again with another card |
| View invoices | Opens your invoices in your billing account, where you can pay it another way |
When an order is waiting for payment
If an upgrade invoice is still unpaid, the Subscription page says You already have an order with us that is awaiting payment. and gives you two options:
- Pay the invoice. Click View invoices to open your invoices in your billing account. Once the invoice is paid, the order is activated automatically.
- Cancel the previous order and place a new one. Click Cancel Upgrade to cancel the unpaid invoice, then choose a plan again.
You can't start another plan change while an order is waiting for payment.
Downgrading
A downgrade isn't charged when you request it. It's scheduled, and the smaller plan starts on your next billing date:
- Choose the smaller plan and click Change Plan on both pages, as above.
- You're returned to the Subscription page. A Downgrade Plan message names your current plan, the new plan and the date the new plan takes effect.
You keep your current plan's limits and features until then. To keep your current plan, click Cancel Downgrade before that date and confirm. You can only have one downgrade scheduled at a time.
If you have more contacts or triggers than the smaller plan allows, the Subscription page warns you. Remove the extra contacts or triggers, then try again.
Your sending allowance and Allow Overuse
Every plan includes a sending allowance for each billing period, tracked as email credits. Transactional email has its own allowance. Your remaining balance is on Plan & Usage, and the allowance refills at the start of each billing period.
What happens when you use it all depends on your plan:
Essential: sending pauses. Essential has a hard cap. When your email credits run out, your broadcasts pause. To keep sending before your allowance refills, you can:
- Convert funds into email credits, or
- Upgrade to a bigger plan or a higher plan type.
Once you have credits again, paused broadcasts resume on their own only if you've switched on Auto-resume campaigns under User Settings. Otherwise, resume them from Campaigns → Scheduled Campaigns.
Professional and Business: Allow Overuse. Your plan comes with Allow Overuse, so sending continues past your allowance. The extra email is added up and invoiced on your billing date, and the invoice is emailed to you and listed under Billing. Plan & Usage shows Oversending allowed for plans that have it.
Overuse has a safety limit, shown on Plan & Usage. If you go beyond it, your broadcasts pause.
You can't switch Allow Overuse on or off yourself. It's part of the Professional and Business plans. See Mumara ONE pricing for overage rates.
If you joined through AppSumo
AppSumo customers see a promotion panel at the top of the Subscription page:
- Enter your code and click Redeem. A message confirms which plan the code upgrades you to.
- Click Upgrade Plan. A progress window checks the code, changes your plan and applies the new limits. It then shows Plan updated successfully, and the page reloads.
Use Show general plans and Hide general plans to show or hide the regular plan list under the panel.
Cancel your subscription
You can't cancel Mumara ONE from inside the app. To cancel, go to your billing account: click your avatar, choose Billing, open your Mumara ONE service and request cancellation. If you need help, contact Mumara support.
When your Mumara ONE service is terminated, your Mumara ONE account and everything in it are permanently deleted. That includes your lists, contacts, campaigns, statistics, sending domains and Bridges, and it can't be undone. Export anything you want to keep before you cancel.
