Key Features

Mumara ONE gives you marketing email and transactional email in one hosted account. This page lists what you can do, grouped the way the app menu is. For the ideas behind these features, see Key Concepts.

Lists and contacts

Contact lists

  • Create as many contact lists as your plan allows, under Lists → Contact Lists
  • Organise lists into groups
  • Set default sender details for each list
  • Track list growth and engagement

Custom fields

  • Store your own data about each contact under Lists → Custom Fields
  • Field types: text, numeric, multiline text, checkboxes, dropdown, radio options, date and JSON
  • Use custom fields to personalise email and to build segments
  • Import and export custom field data with your contacts

Segments

  • Build dynamic segments from contact data under Lists → Segments
  • Combine conditions with AND/OR logic
  • Segment by engagement, such as opens, clicks and bounces
  • Send campaigns to a segment or export it

Suppression

  • Email Suppression: block individual addresses
  • Domain Suppression: block whole domains
  • IP Suppression: block IP addresses
  • Bounced and complaining contacts are handled automatically

Contacts

  • Add a single contact, or view and search all contacts, under Contacts
  • Import contacts from a CSV file, with column mapping and duplicate handling
  • Update many contacts at once with Bulk Update Contacts
  • Follow each contact's history on its timeline: emails sent, opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes

Campaigns

Broadcasts

One-time campaigns to your lists or segments:

  • Drag-and-drop builder or HTML editor, with a plain-text version
  • Attachments
  • Preview and test sends
  • Send now or schedule for later

Evergreen campaigns

Recurring campaigns that send again at the interval you choose:

  • Run a broadcast automatically every hour, day, week, month or year
  • Skip a run when an RSS feed has nothing new since the last send
  • Track the performance of each run

Drip campaigns

Automated sequences (autoresponders) that:

  • Start from an event, such as a contact joining a list
  • Send each email after the delay you set
  • Track every email in the sequence separately

Split tests

A/B test your campaigns to find what works best:

  • Compare two or more broadcasts that differ in subject line, content or sender
  • Send the variations to a sample of your audience first
  • The best-performing variation goes to everyone else automatically

Content tools

  • Spintax: write several versions of a phrase and let Mumara ONE pick one for each recipient
  • Dynamic Content Tags: show different content to different contacts, and pull in the latest items from an RSS feed
  • Email Templates: start from a ready-made design under Setup → Email Templates
  • Mumara AI: generate and edit email content with AI inside the builder
  • Personalisation: merge tags for contact data and custom fields, with fallback values for empty fields
AI credits

Mumara AI features use AI credits. Your plan includes a starting allowance, and you can top it up with funds. See Plan & Usage and Funds.

Scheduled campaigns

  • See everything waiting to send under Campaigns → Scheduled Campaigns
  • Schedule for a date and time in your time zone
  • Cap the sending speed of each campaign

Actions

  • Schedule: send a broadcast now or at a set time
  • Triggers: send email or take an action when a contact is added to a list or segment, or when one of their field values changes
  • Automations: build multi-step journeys on a visual canvas, with waits and branches based on opens and clicks
  • Webhooks: send delivery and engagement events, such as delivered, bounced, opened and clicked, to your own URL as they happen

Transactional email

Bridges

Endpoints your application sends through:

  • SMTP credentials or the HTTP sending API
  • Separate credentials for each Bridge
  • Open and click tracking you switch on or off for each Bridge
  • Each Bridge bound to the pool you choose, shared or dedicated

See the Transactional overview and SMTP settings.

Sending infrastructure

Sending domains

  • Add and verify your own sending domains
  • DKIM signing for every message
  • A branded tracking domain for links and opens, with HTTPS
  • Bounce handling on your own domain

Dedicated IPs

On plans with dedicated infrastructure:

  • Order IPs from inside the app under Setup → Dedicated IPs
  • Automatic warm-up and continuous reputation monitoring
  • Per-IP settings, see IP Settings

Dedicated Pools

  • Group your Dedicated IPs into named pools
  • Send marketing and transactional mail through different pools
  • Choose the pool for each Bridge and each campaign

Managed delivery

Mumara ONE runs the sending servers, bounce processing, complaint feedback loops and return-path handling for you. There is nothing to install or configure. It also watches your bounce and complaint rates and your IPs' blacklist status, and can act automatically to protect your reputation. See Key Concepts.

Statistics and analytics

Statistics

Results for each campaign type:

  • Broadcast Stats, Evergreen Stats, Trigger Stats and Automations Stats
  • Opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes and complaints per campaign

Everything you send, marketing and transactional, under Analytics:

  • Summary: your sending at a glance
  • Engagements: opens and clicks
  • Received, Bounce and Complaints: what happened to each message
  • Queues: mail waiting to be delivered
  • Delivery Logs: message-by-message delivery records

Dashboard

  • Your sending, reputation and plan usage on one page, see Dashboard

Google Analytics

  • Add UTM parameters to the links in your email automatically, so your own Google Analytics attributes visits and conversions to the right campaign
  • Optionally send email events to your GA4 property

Your account

  • Exported Files: download the files you've exported
