AI Credits

AI credits pay for Mumara AI. Each time you use an AI feature, credits are taken from your balance, based on the tier you use and how much Mumara AI reads and writes.

These all use AI credits:

  • messages in the AI Email Builder, including the AI Builder for drips
  • messages and quick actions in the AI Assistant in the Drag & Drop builder
  • Generate with AI for a subject line, a pre-header or a text body
  • Inspect with AI

Where to see your balance​

If your plan doesn't include AI credits, the AI Credits tab in Plan & Usage is locked.

How the monthly allocation works​

Your plan includes a monthly allocation of AI credits.

  • When your account is created, your balance starts at your monthly allocation.
  • On your renewal date each month, your balance is reset to your monthly allocation, and Used this month goes back to zero. The AI Credits tab shows the date, for example Resets on Oct 12, 2026.
  • Unused credits don't carry over to the next month.

To get a larger allocation, change your plan under Subscription in the user menu. See Subscription and Plans.

What affects the credits a request uses​

Credits aren't fixed per request. They depend on:

Your messageLonger, more detailed messages use slightly more.
The replyA full HTML email uses more than a short text answer, because Mumara AI writes more.
The conversationEach message sends the conversation so far, so every message in a long conversation costs more.
Your emailIn the AI Assistant, the whole email on your canvas goes with each message, so long emails cost more.

Credit costs for each tier are listed on Mumara ONE pricing. To see what a type of task costs you, watch the credits shown under each reply.

When your credits run out​

What happens depends on whether your plan allows overuse. The AI Credits tab of Plan & Usage says which.

Overuse not allowed. When your balance reaches zero:

  • AI requests stop with Insufficient AI credits. Please contact your administrator. In Mumara ONE, that means topping up your balance or waiting for your renewal date.
  • Everything else keeps working: your broadcasts, scheduling, sending and every feature that doesn't use AI.
  • Your AI conversations and the emails you already saved are kept.

Overuse allowed. Mumara AI keeps working after your balance reaches zero. What overuse costs depends on your plan. See Mumara ONE pricing.

Top up your balance​

You top up AI credits by converting funds, the prepaid balance in your Mumara ONE account, into tokens:

  1. Open Setup → Funds, or click your avatar in the top-right corner and choose Manage Funds.
  2. If you need to, add funds first under Add Funds.
  3. Go to Convert Funds to Credits and Tokens.
  4. Under Convert Funds to tokens, type an amount in the Funds field. The Tokens field shows how many tokens you'll get at your plan's rate.
  5. Click Convert.

The tokens are added to your balance straight away. Conversions are final: you can't turn tokens back into funds. Conversion rates depend on your plan and are listed on Mumara ONE pricing. See Funds for adding funds and your transaction history.

Top up when you need it

Because your balance is reset to your monthly allocation on your renewal date, convert funds when you need the extra credits rather than well in advance.

Make your credits go further​

  1. Put the detail in your first message. A specific, complete first prompt often produces a usable email without several rounds of changes.
  2. Use the right tier. Don't use Mumara AI Advanced for simple tasks. Mumara AI Fast is enough for ideas and quick drafts.
  3. Start a new conversation for each new email. Long conversations make every message cost more.
  4. Ask for precise changes. "Change the header colour to blue" costs less than "recreate the email in a different style".
  5. Watch the credits under each reply to learn what different tasks cost you.
